Have a look at Lend with CARE's first TV advert to show how it works and how you could get involved. MWB recently had a meeting with Lend with CARE's Director, Dr Ajaz Ahmed, to find out about their work in selected countries. It's exciting that LWC is linking with Microfinance organisations who work with Fair Trade cooperatives such as banana growers in Ecuador. Their products are sold to the Cooperative here in the UK. Fair Trade farmers get $11 a box for their bananas compared to $7 or $9 from other buyers.
This sounds dangerously like 'joined up' thinking and action to me, quite exciting!
